gin-gonic/gin
Tests and CI were inspected, not executed; test existence does not establish a passing result. The inspected tests use Go testing, httptest, and testify, with both recorder-based unit checks and live-listener integration cases. Coverage includes routing regressions, binding, rendering, upload permissions, and recovery sanitization. Inspection is bounded, and workflow selection leaves material limits on what its configured test command exercises.
- The inspected integration and rendering suites import Go testing, net/http/httptest, and testify assert/require; docs demonstrate recorder-based HTTP testing.
- QUERY tests inspect JSON-body handling, exclusion from Any, and registration through an IQueryRoutes assertion; issue #4818 has a multi-tree miss regression expecting 404 without panic.
- Upload tests assert requested permissions for newly created directories, error behavior for unsuitable directory permissions, and preservation of permissions on an existing directory.
- JSON tests cover struct/map body decoding and a replacement json.API used by both binding and PureJSON; rendering tests check HTML escaping, content type, and unsupported-value errors.
- Recovery dump tests check Authorization masking for standard, lowercase, and mixed-case headers plus requests without Authorization; those inspected cases do not test Cookie or Proxy-Authorization masking.
- The inspected RunQUIC test starts QUIC but checks its response using testRequest, whose transport is http.Transport; this case does not establish an HTTP/3 client round trip.
- make test selects packages ending in gin, ginS, binding, or render and merges coverage; internal/fs tests exist outside that selection. Its shell checks output text for failures rather than directly propagating each go test exit status.
- CI gates testing on golangci-lint and configures Ubuntu/macOS, Go 1.26/1.27, default/nomsgpack/sonic/go_json/race runs and Codecov upload; separate CodeQL and Trivy workflows configure security analysis. These definitions were inspected without retrieving execution results.
